Common components found in fuller’s earth are montmorillonite, kaolinite, and attapulgite, including small amounts of other minerals like calcite, dolomite, and quartz. In some places, fuller’s earth refers to calcium bentonite, altered volcanic ash which is mostly composed of montmorillonite.
